- Men Don't Want To Be Rushed During Sex Either -
If you hold the theory that most men don't give enough time to foreplay, here's a little piece of knowledge you might want to contemplate. According to a study published in The Journal of Sex Research, men want foreplay to last as long as women do, and they want intercourse to last longer than women do. Andrea Miller, a Ph.D. candidate in clinical psychology at the University of New Brunswick, surveyed 152 couples. She found that both men and women said their ideal sexual encounter should include 18 minutes of foreplay. For intercourse, the women said 14 minutes, while the men preferred 18 minutes. But . . . the study reveals that men estimated their actual foreplay lasts 13 minutes, while women said 11 minutes. And both genders said intercourse averaged just a little over 7 minutes.
