There are as many kinds of orgasms as there are stars in the sky. But, oh, don't we worry about them! Beginning with Freud, questions arose...
-- Am I having the right kind of orgasm?
-- Am I having enough orgasms?
-- Should I be able to do it in any position, at any time?
-- What if I can't orgasm without fantasy?
-- Am I bad? Wrong? Inadequate?
The sexual revolution has had many positive effects on women's sexuality. We have acknowledged that women are deeply sexual beings. I contend that women are more sexual than men, if we could somehow erase the cultural conditioning of the past five to ten thousand years. Because we live in a society which values competition and is laden with all sorts of guilt and fear about being good enough, women often create anxiety for themselves by judging their sexual behaviors and their orgasms.

An orgasm with every lovemaking session is not a "have to." Your personal satisfaction is the most important thing. Aim for pleasure, not the Big O. Otherwise you'll take yourself out of the whole range of energies in the experience. This is as true for men as it is for women.
