To achieve your full sexual potential, you need to notice, welcome, and celebrate every hint, breath, and tickle of good feeling. That’s how you start feeding and expanding your pleasure balloon with life-giving vitality. Your native state is one of bliss. Why not embrace the religious story that God created love and sex to draw this life-force energy into your body so you could feel good? RELAX AND ENJOY

Opening your sexual energy system starts with the simplest of assignments: relax. OK, it’s easy to say but maybe not so easy to do when you’re stressed, conflicted, or, for many, turned-on. Because of society’s negative programming about sex, instead of basking in those natural good feelings, we tend to tense up, tighten up, and resist such intense sensations. Those who are orgasmically challenged report that all sorts of blocking thoughts get in the way as they start the ascent to orgasm.

The relaxation practices of Supreme Bliss Tantra, having its roots in Indian spirituality, are based on breathing, meditation, and other exercises like yoga. One of our favorite meditation practices is mentally following your breath coming in and out. It takes work and isn’t instant, but it gets you on the right track. Too bad there’s no magic pill that could empty your mind of negative and distracting thoughts. Instead you have to practice letting go of thinking and rather sink into your body. That’s why our first Tantra teacher, Margot Anand, is fond of saying “Pleasure is a discipline.”

BEING IN YOUR BODY

If you want to expand your orgasmic life, it starts with being in your body, not in your head. Your body naturally knows what feels good if you look for it and honor it. That’s why relaxation is the foundation. Practice noticing every little sensation, open every one of your senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Spend more time kissing, caressing, massaging. Find normal everyday things in life that turn you on and indulge in them. Watch erotic movies. Taste delicious treats. Play sensual music. Light your favorite candle or incense. And just enjoy.

The more you focus on good feelings thinking as little as possible, the closer you’ll get to the Tantric ideal of sexual meditation. This means becoming totally absorbed in savoring every sensual sensation in your body from meditation, breathing, and fun activities. Being in this receptive state of absorbing pleasure then during sexual play truly becomes a meditation.

Now it should be clearer why the route of bigger and better orgasms isn’t by focusing obsessively on the Big O. If you do it throws you out of the now and into the future so you’ll miss the subtle inklings of sexual energy. Thinking about whether you’re going to cum creates extra tension that you don’t need while you should be going with the flow in the moment. Instead, get out of your own way, have whatever fun feels good, and go with the flow. Who knows how long it will take to pump your pleasure balloon so full that it will explode with the most fantastic orgasm you’ve ever had. If you’re not getting there, it’s clear that you need to relax more, go slower, and take more time.
